Before the year of 1999 the Doluwa Divisional Secretariat and Udapalatha Divisional Secretariat were Implimented as one Divisional Secretariat. Later on they were separated as above named Divisional Secretariats. Doluwa Divisional Secretariat was initiated on 3rd of January 1999 consist of 33 G.N Divisions.
At the beginning of this Division Mr.R.M.D.B.Meegasmulla who was the Divisional Secretary of Udapalatha worked as the Acting Divisional Secretary and Mr.A.M.Alahakoon worked as Assistant Divisional Secretary with seven Subordinates.
